In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.

The questline focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
